Karen Beitel, Research and Project Coordinator

Karen Beitel is Research and Project Coordinator for KTA Inc. and the KTA Centre for Collaborative Government. Since joining the firm in 2005, she has worked closely with KTA project leads, senior consultants and associates on various projects and initiatives with a key focus in Aboriginal issues, health, and education.

As a member of both KTA’s Aboriginal and Health Practice Groups, Karen has been involved in a range of regional, provincial and nation-scale projects that include, among others, program and policy reviews, program evaluations, and research studies.  Her activities include research and writing, facilitation, stakeholder engagement, network building, communications, and project management.

Prior to joining KTA, Karen managed the General Interest Division of Continuing Education at the University of Toronto’s St. Michael’s College. As an undergraduate at the University of Toronto, Karen was a Research and Teaching Assistant for the Department of East Asian Studies.
