William Shragge,
MD, FRCSC, FACS Bill has led a large medical staff of both a large academic multi-site teaching hospital (Hamilton Health Sciences) and as well as a community multi-site health system (Niagra Health System). In those roles, Bill has led those organizations through many transitions, creating a new governance structures and new leadership models, leading the development of a programme management service delivery model, and working with the senior medical leadership to assure stability and quality of patient care during a period of intense change through operational review and administrative supervision. He is also a member of the Ontario Hospital Association, Healthcare Leadership Council and has been involved with many new and innovative initiatives involving physician leadership. Bill is currently chair of the Ontario Health Technology Advisory Committee (OHTAC) and has been involved with provincial initiatives around inter-professional care as a member of an IPC blueprint subcommittee and a member of the provincial IPC strategic implementation committee. Bill has also been involved with many new initiatives involving physician leadership within the framework of the OHA.
